Have just been blown away by Avatar 2 way of the water. It’s fair to say that the basic plot is unoriginal, although pertinent to what is happening on our own planet with Elon Musk creating our means to becomes interplanetary once we destroy earth. But the CGI! No wonder such a huge budget. It was not only phenomenally detailed, but the visuals, imagination and artwork, lighting and effects were the best I’ve ever seen. So realistic that the film in turns took me to places of magical smiling bliss to sadness, despair and fury. I would give it 5* for special effects, battle scenes, imagination, cgi, original artwork.
