El nuevo filme del director Martin Scorsese, The Irishman, tuvo hoy su primer screening oficial con críticos en el Festival de Cine de Nueva York. La producción de Netflix cuenta con las actuaciones de Robert De Niro, Al Pacino y Joe Pesci – frecuentes colaboradores del veterano director.
The Irishman cuenta la historia de Frank Sheeran, un asesino para la familia mafiosa, Bufalino. Basada en la novel I Heard You Paint Houses de Charles Brandt, la historia es contada a lo largo de varias décadas. Debido a esto, la cinta estaría empleando bastante de la tecnologia de efectos visuales (CGI) que haría ver a los actores más jóvenes.
The Irishman estrena el 1 de noviembre en cines selectos y el 27 de noviembre en la plataforma de streaming Netflix.
