El nuevo filme del cineasta mexicano Guillermo del Toro, ‘The Shape of Water’, recibió 13 nominaciones a los premios Oscar. Durante la mañana de hoy, la Academia reveló los nominados durante un live-streaming liderado por los actores Andy Serkis y Tiffany Haddish. Además de apuntarse mejor película y director, ‘The Shape of Water’ consiguió nominación en las categorías de mejor actriz, mejor actor de reparto, mejor actriz de reparto y mejor banda sonora. La cinta es claramente la favorita para ganar mejor película este año para 20th Century Fox.

Por otro lado, la actriz Meryl Streep recibió su vigésima primera nominación por su trabajo en ‘The Post’, mientras que el cineasta Christopher Nolan fue nominado por primera vez para mejor director por su filme ‘Dunkirk’. Su filme fue la segunda más nominada con ocho nominaciones.

‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ no se quedó atrás recibiendo siete nominaciones, incluyendo mejor película, mejor cinematografía y mejor edición.

Los premios Oscar serán entregados en 4 de marzo y serán televisados alrededor del mundo por ABC. El comediante Jimmy Kimmel nuevamente servirá de anfitrión.
